His background from the band movement and his long collaboration with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra has given Bergby experience with a wide range of genres, and he is a versatile crossover conductor.
Ingar Bergby has worked closely with the Broadcasting Orchestra (KORK) since 1993, and has done everything from classical symphonic repertoire and contemporary music, to pop, rock, jazz, folk and folk music. Among the many productions he places Fargespill, and jubilee concerts for Egil Monn Iversen and Alf Prøysen high.
Bergby has conducted several musical productions, such as West Side Story and Sound of Music , both with Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra.
To give something back to the band movement, Bergby has also conducted Norwegian music bands. Among other things, he has two NM titles and an EC title for brass band with Eikanger-Bjørsvik Musikklag, and five NM titles for janissary corps with Lillestrøm Musikkorps.
